Suzanne Tomatore Testifies at the NYC Council Hearing on "Combating Sex Trafficking in New York City"

City Bar Justice Center‘s Suzanne Tomatore, Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund‘s Ivy Suriyopas, and the Sex Workers Project‘s Melissa Broudo testified before members of the Committee on Women’s Issues and Committee on Public Safety on October 19, 2011.  The hearing was on “Combating Sex Trafficking in New York City: Examining Law Enforcement Efforts – Prevention and Prosecution.”  It included a report from Human Services & Governmental Affairs Divisions and testimony from the NYPD, district attorneys from Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, legal and social service providers, and advocates.
